

Charles was born on January 20, 1936 to Lula Lee Madaris and Walter Robert Madaris in Chickamauga, Georgia. After graduating from Gordon Lee High School, Charles went on to serve honorably in the United States Army as a Specialist 5th Class. Following an honorable discharge from the Army, Charles worked in the Chickamauga area until 1966 when he moved to Florida and took a job at Phillips Petroleum. In 1971, he met the love of his life, Linda, a nurse at University Community Hospital and they were married in 1973. Together they raised three sons and enjoyed a full life of great family time including children’s’ sports events, cruising and air travel to many popular destinations. Charles and Linda recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Alaska with their sons and wives.
Charles was predeceased by parents Walter Robert Madaris and Lula Lee Madaris, brother Robert Madaris, sisters Evelyn Little, Edna Kimsey, Barbara Broome, and grandson Branden James Madaris. He is survived by wife Linda Madaris, sons Charles Rickey Madaris (Brenda Harrelson), Christopher Robert Madaris (Julia Madaris), Erik Allen Madaris (Tara Madaris), grandchildren Jeremy Madaris (Natalee Gilmore), Kaymen Hornsby (Emily Marie Santos), Joshua Madaris (Haylee Reney), Trinity Pullman (Jeremiah Pullman) Zachary Madaris, Landon Berg, Tate Madaris, Tinsley Madaris, Cosette (Cozy) Madaris, great grandchildren Laila Madaris, Greyson Madaris, Charlotte Pullman and Arlo Hornsby and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A committal service will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
