

SSG Christopher Trevor Woodard was born at the US Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy on June 11th, 1981. He passed away March 28, 2012. As an infant he traveled throughout Europe and the Middle East as part of a Navy family. As a high school freshman, he attended the Anglo-American School in Moscow, Russia. While in Moscow, he learned to play ice hockey for the American team. He was high-sticked only once by the competing Russian team. Christopher graduated from Plano Senior High School of Plano, Texas in 1999 and attended Collin County Community College. He then enlisted in the US Army in 2000. Christopher was stationed in South Korea, and survived numerous deployments to Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. On January 14th, 2005 he married the love of his live, Carrie Ann Howell. As a bonus, he became a Dad to Cole, Chloe, and Jared through this union. Together they have two precocious boys, Jacob and Titus. He was a valuable team member of the Joint Communications Support Element at MacDill AFB. He recently graduated the US Army Advanced Airborne School and earned the status of being called a Jumpmaster. He was honored to become a member of the Nam Knight Motorcycle Riding Club and moved up through the ranks and he eventually became a Road Captain. He was a loved soul-mate, an adored father, a war hero, a wonderful son, a big brother, and a friend to all. He is preceded in death by his mother Nelda M. Woodard and survived by his wife, Carrie Ann Woodard; his children, Cole, Chloe, Jared, Jacob and Titus; father, Dr. Dean W. Woodard and his wife Alicia; his in-laws, Gerald and Carol Howell; and numerous family members and friends. Although God has a reason for calling you home way too early, your spirit will live on in our hearts. Keep watch over Carrie and the children. Funeral services will be held, Sunday, April 1, 2012, 3:30 pm at Bay Life Church, 1017 Kingsway Road, Brandon, Fl. 33610 with the family receiving friends from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at the church.
