Cory was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and loyal friend whose presence brought strength, steadiness, and quiet joy to those around him. He was married to his wife, Monique, for 26 beautiful years—a life built on love, commitment, and shared memories that will be treasured forever.
He was a proud and dedicated father to Evan and Alli, and some of his happiest moments were spent with them—teaching them about fishing, snakes, and the beauty of the outdoors. Whether it was a simple nature walk or an adventure spotting wildlife from the road, Cory had a unique gift for noticing the world around him and sharing that wonder with his family.
Cory had a deep love for nature. He enjoyed fishing, snake hunting, and exploring the outdoors. He could be driving down the highway and suddenly point out an eagle soaring above or wildlife hidden in the distance—things most people would miss, but he never did.
He was incredibly skilled with his hands and had a natural ability to fix, build, or figure out almost anything. He was creative and resourceful, always finding a way to make something work. In his later years, he developed a passion for restoring old-school BMX bikes, bringing new life to them with patience and care. He also took great pride in his Saturn Sky convertible, always working on it and keeping it in top condition.
Cory was a hard worker who took pride in everything he did. He was known for being neat and organized—everything had its place, and he took great care of his belongings. At home, he enjoyed smoking meat on his big smoker and watching cooking shows, fascinated by the creativity of turning simple ingredients into something special.
Though sometimes quiet with his words, Cory loved deeply. He had a tender heart and showed his love through his actions—always being there for his family, always dependable, always steady.
Cory lived life with a quiet strength, a curious mind, and a generous spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, and his family is heartbroken without him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Monique Mauch, and their children, Evan and his wife, Dawt and Alli; mother, Cheryl Lombard; father, Michael Mauch; stepmother, Brenda Mauch; brothers, Michael, Nicholas, Christopher, Jeffrey, Kevin, and David, and their families.
“Yet we do not grieve without hope, for we rejoice in knowing that he is with Jesus, and we will see him again one day.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13–14)
