FESSLER, Curtis Richard (NK Sarge), 62, passed away February 1, 2012. Sarge was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force serving from 1967 to 1976 with multiple tours in Vietnam. He graduated from Erie Community College in 1985 with an Associate’s Degree of Science in Liberal Arts. Sarge graduated in 1988 from State University of New York College of Buffalo with a Bachelor’s of Science. He was a member of AMVETS Post 44 and 26. Sarge was a motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of the Nam Knights of America, Westside Chapter. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his brother, Larry (Sally) Fessler; sister, Donna (Dick) Pavel; half-brothers, Richard Fessler and Daniel McMullen; step-mother, Rose Fessler and many friends. Visitation will be held 6PM-8PM Friday, February 10, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 2PM Saturday, February 11, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be Monday, February 13 at 11:30 AM at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Haley House Fund.
