Daniel was a retired Master Sergeant of the U.S. Air Force. He was also retired from IMC New Wales and TECO.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Brenda Knauer.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Knauer; children, Steven Zimmerman, Martin Zimmerman (Kristin), Jeff Zimmerman (Jackie), Traci Kelly (David), Kelly Burton (Brent), Andrea McCalpin (Mathew), Steve Irvin (Jessica), and Kelly Steere (Kerry); sister, Betty Seroski; brothers, Paul Knauer and Carl Knauer; and grandchildren, Evan Kelly, Lauren Kelly, Caitlin Zimmerman, Dillon Zimmerman, Shannon Burton, Erin Burton, Sarah Barrett, Molly Barrett, Alex Barrett, Jaime Barrett, Kaylee Irvin, Ona Irvin, Maverick Irvin, Brenden Steere and Abigail Steere.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
