Danya Cherise McKinnis

Born August 3, 1970 in Elmira, New York to Mr. Gordon W Hills Jr. and the late Jacquelyn L. Hills.

She departed this life on July 15, 2016 at the Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, Florida, her mother Jacquelyn L. Hills proceeded her in death.

Danya attended Elementary, Junior high school and High School in Horseheads, New York. She continued her education and graduated from

Corning Community College where see received a AA degree and continued on to SUNY in Albany, NY and received her BA. She received her Masters degree in Special Ed and regular Ed from Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA. She became a ASC teacher, She took an early retirement.

Danya married her childhood sweetheart, Darren McKinnis,Sr. In that union they conceived a set of twins, Darren Jr. and Kennedy. Taking a leap of faith they decided to relocate to Riverview,Florida where she and Darren enjoyed the sunshine.

She leaves behind her loving Husband Darren McKinnis Sr., twins Darren Jr. and Kennedy. She loved and cherished her husband, children, was devoted to her father, Gordon W, Hills Jr. of Horseheads, NY and her Brother Gordon W.Hills 3rd, of Sebring, Fl., Grandmother Mrs.Hattie Pugh, Elmira, NY, Mother-In-Law Patricia McKinnis, Buffalo, NY. Several Aunts and Uncles; Delores/Victor White Bronx, NY, Ronald/Pat Hills Charlotte ,NC
