WERKMEISTER, Dennis, 69, passed away on Tuesday, May 12 in Valrico, Florida. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton and spent over 30 years as a chemist with various companies in Dayton before retiring to Florida. He spent his retirement doing volunteer work including his life's passion of installing and maintaining the pipe organ at the Polk Theater in Lakeland. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Brandon Chapter. He was preceded in death by his parents, August Werkmeister and Louise Fehl. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Bitton) Werkmeister, formerly of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Mark Werkmeister of Kailua, Hawaii. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Stowers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Dennis' favorite charity, St. Joseph's Indian School for Lakota Children in Chamberlain, S.D.
