FREEMAN SR. , Donald Eugene, 76, of Valrico, Florida entered into rest September 11, 2010. Don’s family moved to Tampa from Sarasota in 1940 and he graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1952. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. After the Navy he followed in his father’s footsteps and became an IBEW local 915 electrician until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Oliver (Wayne), Kirk Freeman, Gayle Freeman and Donald “Donnie” Freeman Jr.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Hart (Tommy) of Fairview, North Carolina, Betty Joyner (Earl) of Plant City, Sandra McNabb (Wayne) of Lakeland and Bert Freeman (Ronnie) of Floral City and an extended loving family and friends. Don was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM with visitation one hour prior Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank LifePath Hospice Sapphire Team for their care at the end. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to LifePath Hospice.
