Donald J. Roy

Donald grew up in Washington and Barre VT, graduating from Spaulding High School in 1951.

He served in the US Army during the end of the Korean War. After returning home from his service, he went to school and became an electrical draftsman in Boston, MA.

Donald met Ann “Nancy” Blunt of Brockton, MA and they were married in June 1959 and together they had five children and resided in Brockton. In 1996 Donald and Nancy retired and moved to Lakeland, FL where they enjoyed the warmer weather and sunshine. Donald enjoyed golfing and being a member of a local veterans group.

Donald was the son of the late Oram and Lydia Roy. He is survived by his son Kevin and his wife Tammy Roy of Taunton, MA; his four daughters Amy and her husband Leo Venckus of Riverview, FL; Deidre and her husband Fred Battle of Riverview, FL; Pamela Roy of Huntersville, NC and Bevalie and her husband Daren Campellone of Bellingham, MA. Donald was a wonderful grandfather of nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Donald is also survived by sisters Anita Seguin of Burlington, VT and Diane Elkins of Clermont, FL along with numerous nephews and nieces. Donald was pre-deceased by his wife, parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

No services are scheduled to be held. Burial will take place at a later date.
