

Donna Wygant Boatenhammer of Lakeland, Fla. passed away on June 13, 2010 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 62 years old. Donna passed away peacefully in Lakeland, Fla. where she lived with her husband and best friend. She retired from Delta Air Lines where she was a Flight Attendant for many years. Because of her humanitarian personality; she also worked as a ember of a team instituted by Delta Air Lines to support families during critical disaster relief. She was one of four children born to the late Howard Wygant and Lauris Knight Wygant on November 20, 1947 in Miami, Fla. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jim Boatenhammer and will forever be remembered by her two children, Kelly and David Boatenhammer; daughter-in-law Mabelissa Boatenhammer; and her three treasured grandsons, Ethan, Owen and Brylon Boatenhammer. She has two sisters, Jean Wygant Neher, Debbie Wygant, and brother, Robert Wygant. Donna will forever be remembered by her family and countless friends as a faithful wife, loving mother, and a friend to all. Donna was a dedicated and active member of the Bell Shoals Church of Christ for many years while living in Brandon, Fla. She later would worship at Edgewood Church of Christ in Lakeland, Fla. She enjoyed laughing and being with family. Donna touched the lives of many through her smile and selfless acts of generosity. She maintained her love for others throughout her entire life and will forever be remembered. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., at the Bell Shoals Church of Christ, 2908 Bell Shoals Road, Brandon, FL 33511. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
