Donna was born on November 6, 1932 in Anthony, Kansas.
She graduated from Harper High School in Kansas in 1949 and was active in the school choir.
Donna worked for the city of Wichita where she met her husband Doyle, the love of her life, a detective Sergeant with the Wichita Kansas police department and they were married for 44 wonderful and blessed years until his death in 2008.
On April 4, 1965 they gave their lives to Jesus after a Ledbetter church service in Wichita. They spent approximately 35 years traveling the country, appearing in churches, trailer parks, schools, prisons and other institutions sharing the message of Jesus through testimonies and gospel singing. They produced many Gospel CD’s during that time and at the age of 75, Donna completed her last CD.
She was a prominent member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Seffner and also an Associate member with Fellowship Bible Church in Zephyrhills.
She continued to spread her love of Christ through her singing till she was called home.
Donna was preceded in death by her sister Margie, by her parents, Clarence and Maude (Halsey) Carothers, by her husband, Doyle Terry, her brother Melvin Carothers (Ruby, wife deceased), sister Lorene Cheatum (Francis, husband deceased), her nephews Joe Carothers (Kay, surviving wife), Gary Carothers (Sharon, surviving wife), and Dwayne Cheatum. She has one living nephew, Ron Carothers, in Rockport, Texas. (Sandy, wife deceased). She also has many great nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Donna had a heart of gold and a friend to all. Through our Faith and Hope in Jesus Christ we know that we will be reunited with Donna again one day, but until that day comes, we will all be loving her and missing her greatly.
