With profound joy and celebration, we announce the heavenly homecoming of Doris Richards Eaves on February 9, 2026. Her vibrant life, spanning 95 years of love, laughter, and purpose, came to a serene conclusion as she peacefully surrendered to eternal rest in the comfort of her Valrico home in Florida. Born in Torrington, Connecticut in 1931 to Rene and Simone Richards, Doris's life was a testament to her faith, love, and devotion. Her 1953 union with Alfred Cabot Eaves blossomed into a legacy of six precious children, a love-filled marriage of 60 years and a family tree rich in love and heritage. With a heart full of gratitude, Doris often expressed that she would not change a single moment for every experience was a stepping stone to a life well-lived. As we bid our farewell, we joyfully remember and honor her as a pillar of faith at Nativity Catholic Church, a beacon of love in her community, a devoted mother, a stalwart friend, and a real estate professional with a heart of gold. Her radiant love touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing this angel of light. A celebration of her extraordinary life will take place at Nativity Catholic Church on Saturday February 14,2026. Visitation is at 10:30 with a mass at 11:00. She will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at a later date beside her beloved husband. Doris leaves behind a legacy of love: her 5 children, Leslie Seabury, Lynn Hood, Curtis Eaves, Richard Eaves, Cabot Eaves; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren, who will continue to shine her light. Rest in eternal peace, dear mother and friend.
