Dodi was born on January 12, 1949, to Giles and Carrie Green in Springfield, CO. She was the youngest of eight children: three brothers and four sisters. Dodi grew up in a family that loved Christ, family, and community.
She was the mother of two wonderful children: Chad Cost of Colorado Springs and Kelly Cost (Lane) of Valrico. She was Nana to four beautiful grandchildren: Brandon Lane of Zephyrhills, Morgan Lane of Valrico, Sydney Cost of Colorado Springs, and Jacob Cost of St. Louis, as well as two adorable great-grandchildren, Addison and Oliver Lane of Zephyrhills.
Throughout her life, she served as a missionary to the homeless in Dallas, TX; the Philippines; and Germany through a local church and military families. She loved to travel and visited many exotic places, from India and Europe to the Caribbean, and even caravanned through Canada to Alaska with her brother, sister, and daughter Kelly. But her greatest accomplishment—and the one she was most proud of—was being a mom and Nana.
Dodi was predeceased by her parents, Giles and Carrie Green; her brothers, Chester, Walter, and Raymond; her sisters, Lois, Effie, Elsie, and Irene; and her beloved son, Chad.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Joel) Lane of Valrico; her grandchildren, Brandon (Grace) Lane, Morgan Lane, Sydney Cost (Devin Ward), and Jacob Cost; and her two great-grandchildren. Dodi is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
