The son of Constantino Suarez and Mary Cacciatore was born on July 23, 1938 in Tampa, Florida, a place he was proud to call home all his life. Here, he graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1956 before going on to be a Gator. During his time at the University of Florida he created countless memories and friendships he’d later share through his signature detailed storytelling with his children and grandchildren. But most importantly, he graduated from UF in 1960 with two accomplishments that would act as the foundation for his future: his marriage to wife Joyce Ann Bradley Suarez and his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.P.H).
Throughout his 50-year career as a pharmacist, Ernest touched countless lives, building connections with coworkers and patients alike through his constant commitment to providing quality healthcare and support for everyone he served. His dedication and expertise eventually made him a mentor and inspiration to newer, aspiring pharmacists.
Beyond his professional life, Ernest cherished his role as a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann (Bradley) Suarez of 63 years. Together, he and Joyce built a life full of devotion to their family and friends. This was shared by his two surviving sons, David (Danielle Dellaro) and Donald (Rhonda Ryan Suarez), who looked to their father for loving guidance throughout their childhood and adult lives. As grandfather to Justin, Dominic, Vanessa, and Joshua, he is remembered as a statuesque figure with a soft side saved just for them.
The family will be holding a small private service in Ernest’s honor and will forever look fondly on the lasting impact he had on those who were blessed to be loved by him.
