

Eugene N. Bulso, 78, of Seffner, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Florida Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1936, in Canton, Ohio. He attended Timken Vocational High School, graduating in 1954. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957, principally aboard the U.S.S. Midway. During his time of service, he received the China Service and Good Conduct awards. He married Virginia Mary DiLuciano of Lorain, Ohio on August 23, 1958. The couple moved to Florida in 1960 and raised six children. He worked throughout most of his professional career as a salesman in the non-foods merchandizing industry, receiving numerous national awards for his outstanding performance.
He was a faithful parishioner of Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon for more than forty years. He was a highly skilled bowler and served as president of the Thursday Night Men’s Bowling League at Brandon Crossroads Lanes. He also enjoyed and participated in numerous other athletic activities. But, more than anything else, he enjoyed his family and he enjoyed encouraging and bringing joy to others.
He is survived by Virginia, the light of his life and his devoted wife of 56 years, and by his six children: Joseph (Melody) of Largo, FL; Jean Marie (John) Barr of Apollo Beach, FL; Gino (Kathy) of Nashville, TN; Virginia (Robert) of Tampa, FL; Paul of Apollo Beach, FL; and Daniel (Kristi) of Apollo Beach, FL. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and by four brothers and sisters: Norma (Daniel) Rosetti of Canton, OH; Joseph (Joanne) of Canton, OH; Ronald (Sandra) of Canton, OH; and Janet (Norman) Fernandez of Durant, OK. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Bulso of Canton, Ohio, and by three siblings: Anita (Dominic) Lepore; Richard (Phyllis) of Canton, OH; and Judy (Richard) Shaffer of Canton, OH. He was also preceded in death by two nieces, Sharon (Robert) Kolberg of Canton, Ohio and Mary Ann Bulso of Canton, Ohio.
