Frances “Francesca” P. Beauchaine, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025.
Frances was born on March 16, 1941, in Port Richmond, Pennsylvania, though she always liked to say her birthday was March 17—St. Patrick’s Day. She was the beloved daughter of Robert Stewart and Catherine Pearson (née Hesson), both of whom preceded her in death.
Throughout her life, Frances worked for many years in the bar industry and hotel hospitality, where she was known for her strong work ethic, warmth, and ability to make people feel welcome. She lived a full life marked by independence, resilience, and devotion to her family. Frances was divorced but remained deeply connected to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Mardis.
She is survived by her two sisters, Rosalie and Florence; her three children, Edward (Deanne) Beauchaine, Michele (Rod Schlegel) Mardis, and Brian (Vicki) Beauchaine; her seven grandchildren, Katie Mardis, Bruce Mardis, Michael (Whitney) Beauchaine, Brock (Amanda) Beauchaine, Dallas (Eric Rodriguez) Beauchaine, Avery Beauchaine, and Blake Dungca; and her eight great-grandchildren, Cara Velez, Matie Bouchard, Brayden Beauchaine, Aubrey Beauchaine, Harlow Beauchaine, Nixon Beauchaine, Laura Mardis, and Nicholas Sileo.
She is also survived by her close longtime personal friends, Lillie Grandison, Betty Bradley, and Sandy Jo Robinson, along with new close personal friends, Kathy Bishop, Lisa Gauthier and Lori Pro whose friendship and love meant so much to her throughout the years.
An intimate gathering with family and friends will be held to celebrate Frances’s life, sharing stories, memories, and honoring the person she was. Additional details will be shared at a later time.
Frances will be remembered for her strength, her stories, her humor, and her steady, practical outlook on life—often summed up in one of her favorite sayings: “That’ll work.” She leaves behind a legacy of generations bound together by her presence and spirit.
