Georgia Ives Stone a native of Binghamton, New York, born July 18, 1922 to George Ives and Emma Rowland Ives. Upon graduation from Binghamton High School, she relocated to California where she became employed with the California Departmentof Motor Vehicles and a volunteer for the Red Cross working in the local hospitals.While living in California, she met her husband of fifty years, Charles Q. Stone, a career Air Force veteran, who predeceased her June 12, 2000. With her husband,Mrs. Stone traveled the world. She lived in places such as Germany, Libya, Thailand,Okinawa, Hong Kong and, Taiwan. Mrs. Stone relocated from McGuire AFB, in New Jersey to MacDill AFB, in Tampa, Florida in 1969 and has remained in the Tampa Bay area until her death on August 27, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon E.Hyde, her grand-daughter, Sumer E. Hyde and her son-in-law, Mark S. Hyde.
