Gilmour Jack Fike

Jack was born on March 21,1935 to Gilmour and Hazel Fike in Salt Lick West Virginia. He was the oldest of 5 sons.

After graduating high school he served in the United States Army. He met Kathleen Ann Kirk in 1954 and they wed in 6/2/1957 going on to have 4 children Twila Yates, Michael Fike, Sandra Orosz, and Jonathan Fike. He was an accomplished welder retiring in 1998. Jack was ordained an Elder in Gods Church in 1984, where he spent many hours serving God’s people. After retiring Jack spent his time enjoying his family, hunting, and fishing.

Jack was predeceased by his parents Gilmour and Hazel Fike and a brother Ted Fike.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathleen Fike and his children Twila (Dale) Yates, Michael (Nancy) Fike, Sandra (Bob) Orosz, Jonathan (Janice) Fike. His grandchildren Melanie Armstrong, Amber Bunner, Stefanie McNeely, Laura O’Neal, Susan Falardeau, Melissa Hudson, David Fike, Ryan Orosz, Steven Orosz, Katelyn Cronin, Eric Fike, Brian Fike, Julie Wyckoff. He was a proud great grandfather to 27 great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Gilmour will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
