

GIULIO RUSSO, age 89, of Valrico, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. GIULIO was born June 18, 1932 in Stamford, CT. He was predeceased by his parents, Raffaele and Lucia Russo, sister, Caroline Uva and brothers, Anthony, Michael and Ralph.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maryann, daughter Robin Kraemer (Kevin), son Richard and predeceased by his son Ralph (former daughter in law Hollie Neil). He has five grandchildren: Matthew (Jennifer), Melodie (Andrew), Kristin (Casey), Adam and Andrew, and five great grandchildren: Riley, Reagan, William, Ralph James, and Jennie.
Giulio served two years in the Korean war and spent his entire career in the field of construction. He built many homes and will be remember for the quality of his work and his reliability. He was an accomplished musician and played accordion since he was a young boy. He also played piano and taught himself guitar at the age of 80. He was an avid golfer and given the nickname of ‘Rocket Man’ for his long drives. After his son Ralph passed away, he also spent his spare time making 8,000 wooden crosses in Ralph’s memory. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren and these crosses which were donated to people all are over the world. Everyone loved and will miss ‘Jules’.
A gathering of family & friends for GIULIO will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
