

Grover M. Hall, 80, of Brandon, passed away on February 7, 2024, after a sudden heart attack. Grover was born on August 23, 1943 to his parents, Grover C. Hall and Violet Box in Malvern, AL. He moved with his family to Chipley, FL and attended school there. After high school, he joined the Air Force, stationed in Washington State. In 1965, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a helicopter crew chief in Vietnam for 13 months. He was discharged in 1969 as an E-5 Sgt. and married his wife, Peggy Plourde, in 1970.
Surviving Grover, besides his wife, are his son, Matthew Hall (Cary); his grandson, Evan Hall; his brother, Wayne-Hall (Mary); his brother, Rodney Hall (Janice); and his former daughter-in-law, Erica Hall.
After leaving the Marines, Grover had a 30 year career in telecom business, last as a regional manager at Lucent, and retiring in 2001. In retirement, he spent his time enjoying his family and friends, and he also enjoyed travel and gardening, especially the challenge of growing tomatoes.
A graveside service for Grover will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
