Helen was a devoted parishioner of St. Stephen Catholic Church, and former member of the Valrico Service League and the Newcomers Club. She spent many hours volunteering for Cancer research.
Italian cooking and baking for her family and friends was her true passion. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing Bunco, Bingo, Dominoes and card games. In her earlier years, she loved to travel to Las Vegas and Italy and enjoyed cruising. She was always the life of the party.
She is survived by her children, Philip (Michelle) Colesanti, Helen Forbes; grandchildren, Philip (Jill) Colesanti, Matthew (Marisa) Colesanti, Maria Dittemer (Robert) and six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lepre; siblings, Louis Fornaro, Domenic Fornaro, Felicia Governale, and Nancy DiBiase.
A visitation will be held from 10am until the funeral mass at 12pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 10118 St. Stephen Circle, Riverview, FL 33569.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Accent Care-Season’s Hospice, Tampa General Hospital-NICU or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
