
BAILEY, James Gene, 88, of Tampa entered into rest Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was born on September 30, 1925 in Trenton, Florida to the late Oliver Warren and Lottie Alene Doke Bailey. James graduated from Bronson High School, Bronson, Florida. He was a United States WWII Navy Veteran and served at Banana River Naval Air Station, and in the Pacific. Jim retired from TECO after 31 years, mostly in the Central Service Maintenance Garage. He was a proud member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. In the mid 60’s, He coached East Point Little League. He was of the old line Primitive Baptist faith. James owned Bailey’s Used Farm Equipment for many years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors James was joined in death by his wife of 65 years, Eloise, and predeceased by his sister, Alene Myers. Survivors include his two sons, Alan D. Bailey (Sherry Keller) and Carl S. Bailey (Darla McGuire); brothers, Oliver Warren Bailey Jr. (Bud) and Jasper Newton Bailey (Bill); sister, Jane Quincey (Samuel); 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Bailey Adams (Ronnie), Steven Scott Bailey (Joann), James Benjamin Hart (Deane), Phillip Leon Hart (Mallory), Miranda Rosalynne Bailey and Russell Alec Bailey and 5 great-grandchildren, Destiny Adams, Cole Adams, Ashlynn Hart, Cooper Jean Hart and Avery Hart. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 3 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. James was a great dad. BAILEY, Eloise Pearl Stevens, 87, of Tampa entered into rest Saturday, December 7, 2013. A sweet and loving mother, daughter and grandmother was born on September 7, 1926 in Palm Harbor, Florida to the late Fred Fearnot and Retha Ethel Bagley Stevens. Eloise graduated from Hillsborough High School, class of 1945. She retired from GTE after 25 years of service. She was of the old line Primitive Baptist faith. Eloise enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and canning. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was joined in death by her husband of 65 years, James and predeceased by her brother, Hampton Douglas Stevens. Survivors include her two sons, Alan D. Bailey (Sherry Keller) and Carl S. Bailey (Darla McGuire); 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Bailey Adams (Ronnie), Steven Scott Bailey (Joann), James Benjamin Hart (Deane), Phillip Leon Hart (Mallory), Miranda Rosalynne Bailey and Russell Alec Bailey and 5 great-grandchildren, Destiny Adams, Cole Adams, Ashlynn Hart, Cooper Jean Hart and Avery Hart.
