I come from a long time ago. The neighborhood kids. Playing sneak using all of the yards of the kids who were playing. Of course at night. James was one of the players. So much fun!

I enjoyed working with Jim over the last year at the SBDC. I appreciated Jim sharing his experience. I observed that Jim directed clients to clear data driven choices. This was very valuable to them. 
We also talked about travel. Jim looked forward to attending the ASBDC Conference in San Francisco. He shared with me that he was planning to drive a stretch of Highway 1the Pacific Coast Highway North of San Francisco on to Oregon. Jim had already driven some of HWY 1 and lacked seeing that stretch of the ocean.
Though I didn't get to venture out of the Bay Area, I wanted to share this photo I took one evening after the conference. It was taken with Jim's IPad that I have now been assigned.
It saddens me that Jim is not here, but I believe he is in a much more amazing place.
My condolences to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you during this time.

Jim was a colleague who I respected very much.  He is one of the smartest people I have ever met.  He mentored and supported me when I became the Director of the Small Business Development Center. He was a trusted friend. Thank you, Jim for everything you have done for me and for thousands of your clients.  So long, until we meet again, my friend.

I worked with Jim 30 years ago when I started my career in banking.  Besides being a great boss, he was such a great mentor.  After we both left the bank, we stayed in touch and had become close friends.  Jim always bragged on his family-especially his grandchildren which he adored. He loved his job, the people that he worked with and the businesses that he consulted.  When I decided to start my own business - he became a mentor again.  I will miss you Jim and the friendship that we shared for so many years.

Jim was kind,loving and adoring of his family and those closest to him.  We conversed on many subjects but mostly of travel, places he's been and those he'd like to see.  I loved those conversations!  Jim you are on yet another journey, May God bless you and your family!  Peace and comfort to you my friend, I'll miss you!

Jim was not only a good friend but he was a mentor, teacher, advisor and he loved being a Consultant to thousands of businesses in the state of Florida.  He was amazing with a keen understanding data and financials.  His clients were always left with a clear understanding of their current financial condition and what they needed to do next.  Jim, Daniel Scott and I always shared our birthdays together and I will miss those birthday dinners with Jim.  Jim always happy and had plenty of stories to share.  His grandkids were special to Jim and he looked forward to his time with them.  Jim will be missed by his family, friends, business associates and the community.  It is sad to say Good Bye to a good friend but Jim gave so much to so many people.  Jim may you soul remain at peace with our Heavenly Father.  God Bless You Jim
