SHARP, James F., 82, of Plant City entered into rest June 29, 2016. James was the founder of Buckeye Overhead Door Service and Buckeye Plate Glass both in Columbus, Ohio. He accepted his call to ministry, was ordained in 1974 in the United Pentecostal Church International, and pastored churches in Ohio and Tennessee. James served as Presbyter on the Tennessee District Board. After more than 40 years of active service the Sharps settled in Tampa Bay. A carpenter by trade, minister by calling, his passion was music and his pastime was golf, where he got a hole-in-one at age 82. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; sons, James E. Sharp (Shirley), Norman Sharp (Sandy), John Sharp, Gregory A. Sharp (Bonnie); daughter, Esther Baker (David), Linda Edwards (Mike), Penny Phillips; sisters, Veda Rosetti, Carol Vasko; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Brandon Bible Tabernacle. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
