VARGAS Sr., James F., 80, another wounded warrior went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2016. He was a light of hope and loved by everyone he met. Jim retired from the Marine Corp after 20 years of service including 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam. He then went on to serve 20 years with the postal service. He clearly loved his family and his country. He never met a stranger and was always ready to assist anyone in need. He lovingly endured the glamorizing of his granddaughters Allyssa and Ella right down to the nail polish on his fingers and toe nails. His passion throughout the years has been baseball of which he was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. He will be greatly missed by his wife; Connie, sons; James Jr. (Linda), Roger, Chris Knecht (Mandy), Corey Knecht (Marie), daughters; Judy Vargas (Karen), Robin Jenkins (Rich), 4 brothers and sisters and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 5, 2016 at Stowers Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm.
