She was my grandma and the sweetest, most kind woman I knew and I miss her so much. She had a big heart and wanted to share it with the world. 

Christmas was very difficult without my mother this year.  My sister, niece, daughter and I knitted booties in effort to keep her spirit alive as she always made knitted booties for everyone for Christmas.

May your spirit fly with the angels.

I still picture the perky little girl from East Tawas state park in the early 50's.

I never thought about my grandma passing away- before that weird Wednesday. I lost my father fourteen years ago and I am still learning to deal with that. I have thought about what happens when others pass, but it never occurred to me that one day I would lose my grandmother. When I think about her it's always positive and I can't even think of one time she yelled at me. She had such a relaxed energy and open mind that I want to carry with me. It's because of her that I can knit, sew, and recite classic songs from musicals. When I was younger and stayed with my Grandparents she would entertain me with family stories. That was always my favorite part about hanging out with my Grams, besides the homemade treats and unconditional love. She would always tell me that one day I would write a book and include all her stories.  When I decided to be a History major I used my grandmother as a primary source every chance I got. She has taught me things I would like to think most grandkids don't get to experience or understand. One of the last things she said to me was, “I am going to walk for your graduation”. That made me feel so special, and that's just the kind of person she was. She was someone who would make you feel important when you felt like you had no voice.  Just when I felt like school was a complete waste of time.. she reminded me that she was proud of me.  I love her so much and will walk with her during all my future accomplishments. 
Favorite memory: One HOT summer Grams took me and my cousin Kelly to see a shuttle launch, I must have been around 7 or 8 and my cousin was a teenager.  My grandmother drove us about two hours away in old Lincoln with no AC and leather seats. The shuttle was delayed so we waited around for about 3 hours. This is the kicker-We didn't bring any drinks with us so we were parched! Grams and Kelly talked me, the young blond with pig tails, into asking a random stranger for a Pepsi so we could share it. I don't even remember if we saw the shuttle launch... I love you Grams :)

Even though we were a country apart, It was so comforting to keep in touch. I am so very sorry she is gone and my love goes to your family.

My mother and I were really close, we had alot in common. In recent years we did everything together. Every weekend we would wake up early Saturday mornings and plan our quest for the days best bargains. We were novice yard sale seekers on a quest for that great find. We would often spend the day in Busch Gardens together enjoying the special guest proforming oldies music. This would really make her happy singing along with the artist of the day. I often would take her to dinner or a movie during the week just so that she knew I enjoyed doing things with her. One of her favorite things to do was to attend the big parade in Tampa. The last two years we did make it to downtown and had front row seats. We came home from that day long event with some many necklaces and usually soar throats from cheering on the floats that were passing by. I am very glad we did these things cause now I can look back on it and know that we had the best times.

Uncle Floyd, and family, I am  sending you all my love. Aunt Jane will be greatly missed by us. My girls still talk about the  beautiful Barbie dresses Aunt Jane made, and gave them. Those were there favorite ones. Wish I were half as talented as she was.

My mother was my friend who helped me through tough times and good times.  She always had a ready smile and could find the silver lining of every cloud.  I know she will be with my grandparents as angels watching over me and helping me survive another day.

May you find comfort in knowing that Jane is now in the hands of the Lord.  I graduated with Jane and am saddened to hear that another of our classmates has left us.

Floyd and family,  I am so very sorry for your loss.  I have missed you all for a long time and am sending my prayers and Gods Blessings to you all.  Jane has given me many things to be thankful for.  Her crocheting instructions are priceless.  God Bless.  Marlyn Heglund (Barnard)

I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many great memories of fun times at your house growing up. Aunt Jane's Peanut butter frosting. And now my favorite peanut butter pie...yum yum. She will be greatly missed. Uncle Floyd you and the kids (well adults now) are in my thoughts and hope the healing comes fast. Jane was always there for us.She was always ready to go or do anything that we wanted to do.Jane will be greatly missed by both of us.With loving memories that we will never for get.

To Jane's Family,  My thoughts and prayers are with at this time.  I graduated with Jane and remember the many times she and her brother would give me a ride homme from school.  May your memories of Jane comfort you during this time of sorrow.

Jane was the neighbor whom was always ready to help with a birthday cake, a costume or a prom dress.  She was definitely one to treasure now and always.  I remember being very sick and lying in bed, when all of sudden someone came through my front door with a bright "Hello"! and some  chicken soup.  She said "I was just checking to make sure you were all right."   Yes, that is the Jane I will always remember.

I love you with all my heart and always will.You will never leave my heart or my mind.
You gave me a life too live for and five beautiful Children.
You are so very much missed by me an the kid's.
We will be togeater again soon.I love you.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
