Jeanne M. Ernst

Ernst, Jeanne M., 84, of Brandon, Florida entered into rest on February 2, 2014. She was born on September 4, 1929 to the late William and Geraldine Dehner. She was a long time member of Nativity Church and devoted to The Blessed Mother. She started “Let’s Pray the Rosary” at local nursing homes and assisted living facilities, she and her husband were Eucharistic Ministers. Her hobbies included sewing, going to garage sales as though they were a sport, reading and teaching her grandkids to read. Jeanne is now with her loving and caring husband of 59 years and friend of 70years, Walter Edward Ernst Sr. She is survived by sons, Walter (Maletta) Ernst Jr. and William Francis Ernst; daughters, Susan Slezak Richard and Kathie (William) Wallach; 12 grandchildren, Paul Mikell West, Meredith (Pat) Bond, Christina (Jay) Hoffman, Jacqueline (Edwin) Lugo, Roslyn (Mauro) Antoniazzi, Kaydee Ernst Simpson, Rebecca Ernst, Hannah Madeksho, Richard Bond Jr, Chris Bond, Jake Bond and Leland Bond; three great-grandchildren, Dade Bond, Ava Bella Hoffman and Braden Mikell Hoffman; two sister-in-laws, Judy Dehner and Martha Ernst; and best friend Ruth Hauser. Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014 at 10AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home of Brandon; a funeral service will follow at 11AM at graveside at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. In lieu of fresh flowers, living plants would be appreciated, or donations can be made is Jeanne’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Tidewell Hospice of Southwest Florida.
