Jennifer and I worked together at the Tampa Tribune and became close friends during those years.  She had a special way of making me laugh every day and provided a shoulder to cry on when I needed it.  One of my most endearing stories about Jennifer was actually just before I met her.  She had been working in the Brandon office and got a promotion that required her to work in the downtown Tampa office.  Prior to the promotion, Jennifer had never been outside of Brandon and got lost on her commute her first day in the new office.  We teased her about that...a lot.  

Jennifer loved her whole family dearly, and she had a very special bond with her daughter, Courtney.  Her whole world was about raising Courtney to become the beautiful soul she is today.

I miss you so much already dear friend and I will forever hold your joyful spirit in my heart.

JLuce, what can I say!?!  Your blunt honesty, refusal to beat around the bush and your infectious laughter, OMG!!!  Thank YOU for being YOU, for listening, guiding me, for making work tolerable and encouraging me to embrace the inner strengths I didn’t know I had.  I don’t think we’re supposed to use “OMG” on this site, let alone twice. I’m a mess and I’m just so happy and fortunate to have crossed paths with you, luv.  You are so loved and your spirit lives on.  Thank you, for everything 🙏🏽🥰❤️

I worked with Jennifer at the Tampa Tribune for many years. She was loud. And you could hear her coming all the way across the sales floor. I used to think "Here comes Jennifer. I wonder what crazy story she's gonna tell us today?" She was always a hoot. Her infectious laugh brought smiles to her coworkers faces and lifted spirits 100 feet away. She loved hard and always mentioned you, Courtney. Prayers for you and your family. She will be missed.  

To the Luce family, I pray 🙏 God will give all of you strength during the loss of Jennifer. Everyone loved her and her contagious laugh! She's home now and in peace.
