LAWSON, Joey Lamar, 47, of Plant City, passed away November 16, 2014. He was the owner and operator of Lawson Hardware for the last 20 years. Joey was a “king of all trades” and enjoyed working on cars and boats as well as carpentry and other handyman projects. He also loved fishing, scratch tickets and blueberry farming. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lawson. Joey is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Stephanie Lawson; daughters, Marina Miller (Corey) and Jasmine Lawson; mother, Carolyn Lawson; brother, Johnny Lawson (Karen); and his first grandson who is scheduled to arrive in February, Reece Lamar Miller. Visitation hours will be held 11 am-1 pm Saturday, November 22 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon with funeral service to follow at 1 pm. Joey will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but will live on in their hearts and memories.
