
BUSH, John Edward, 93, passed away peacefully March 11, 2012. He was born March 25, 1918 to Leroy and Mary Bush in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Langley High School. John was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Army Air Corp as a captain from 1941-1946 and as a major in The Air Force Reserves. His working career was with Union National Bank of Pittsburgh retiring as Vice President and secretary of its Board of Directors. While in Pittsburgh he was a School Board Director of Baldwin Whitehall School District focusing on special education opportunities for the students. He was very active with The Masons and Shriners, achieving the 39th degree. John and his wife Virginia spent their retirement in Sun City Center and were involved in many social and volunteer activities including the Guardian ad litem, Good Samaritans, the Pennsylvania Club and Men’s Club. He also continued involvement with The Masons, Shriners and Jesters. John was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Sun City Center. John was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia after 66 years of marriage; his two sisters and brother. He is survived by his four children, Karen (John) Wallach, John (Barb) Bush, Jr., Richard Bush and Debra (George) Melodini; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and an extended loving family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held 2PM with visitation 1PM-2PM Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will immediately follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
