John Joseph Cochol, beloved husband, father, uncle, friend, and force of nature, passed away on July 31, 2025, after a courageous nine-year battle with brain tumors. He faced every surgery, treatment, and challenge with grit, humor, and relentless love for his family.
John lived life boldly. His laugh could light up any room, his karaoke could steal the show and win championship belts, and his outrageous shirts were always party-ready. He was the ultimate football dad—cheering, recording, and lifting up his son Brett every step of the way. He was Ashley’s rock, her favorite dance partner, and the love of her life. To John, love meant showing up—loudly, proudly, and without fail. Whether it was a wedding, dance recital, game, or performance, he was there. He cheered just as fiercely for his nieces, nephew and Brett's teammates as he did for Brett, and he celebrated the wins of everyone he loved like they were his own.
Professionally, John served as Senior Vice President of Club Services at the United Soccer League, where his dedication, leadership, and positivity left a lasting mark. He was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, welcomed, and loved.
John was deeply loved by wife and son, Ashley and Brett, his parents, Warren and Amy Cochol; his sister, Janine (Kohji); his twin brother, Bryan (Nathalia); Ashley's parents, Tom and Jody; his brother-in-law Michael (Anna); and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Josh); and his nephew and nieces, Liam, Daphne, Kennedy and Autumn. His family was his foundation, his joy, and his lifelong team.
To know John was to love him—and be loved by him. He is deeply missed and will be forever remembered.
COME GET YOU SOME LIFE WELL LIVED!!
