It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Salgado on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at age 46 — a devoted family man, hardworking businessman, and faithful servant of Jehovah God.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Marietta Salgado, whom he often called “the love of his life.” He was a loving and dedicated father to his four children: Marlaina, Johnny, Javian, and Joel. He was also a cherished Papa to his granddaughters, Ruzena and Eliska, and a caring father-in-law to Tyler Smith.
He was the beloved son of Evaristo and Esther Salgado, and a dear brother to Sandra, Sem, and Isaias Salgado. His family meant everything to him, and he poured his heart into loving, leading, and supporting them.
John was a man of integrity, strength, and compassion. He was exceptionally intelligent — always quick-witted, insightful, and resourceful. His sharp mind and strong character made him a natural problem-solver and someone others looked to for wisdom and direction. He touched countless lives through his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering faith.
John was known for his strong work ethic and joyful spirit. He approached every task with skill, passion, and heart. He was famously the best negotiator around—especially when it came to vehicles—and his family affectionately nicknamed him “El Cheapo” for his clever and relentless ability to save money.
He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: riding his bike, collecting watches, relaxing at the beach, cracking open a cold brew, or sipping on a good old-fashioned. He loved grilling and was proudly known as the “Grill Master.” Music was also a big part of his life — he found joy in winding down to good music, whether it was playing in the background or filling the room with his favorite sounds. He was a goofball at heart, always bringing laughter and lighting up the room with his infectious smile.
He and Marietta built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and joy. As a father, John was proud and steadfast. As a man of deep faith, he loved teaching others about the Bible and lived by its principles with humility, patience, and conviction. He was a spiritual leader, a faithful servant, and a true role model to all who knew him.
John was righteous, honest, and always ready to help anyone in need. His love, strength, and light will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
John fully believed in the hope of the resurrection, and we look forward to the day we will see him again in paradise.
A private burial will be held for the family.
A public memorial service to celebrate John’s life will take place at:
