Johnny G Simonds

SIMONDS, Johnny Glover, 60, of Dover, FL, entered into eternal rest on June 23, 2014. He was a devoted husband of 34 years to wife, Karen Simonds; loving father to his children, Amanda Wright of Valrico (Justin), Ashley Long of Land O Lakes (Dale); remarkable Papa to his three precious grandchildren, Jalynn, Bailey, and Blaydin; grand-pet Gizmo; and survived by brothers, Jack Killian (Darlene), Renney Simonds (Jean), Leroy Simonds, Billy Simonds (Beth); sisters, Linda Bynum (Danny), Annette Franklin (Mike); sister-in-law, Betty Simonds; daughters, Toni and Stacey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Johnny fought a long and hard battle against lung cancer but is now being reunited with his parents Burlington and Edith (Carroll) Simonds; brother, Richard Simonds; sister, Ruby Jane Morgan; brothers, David Simonds and Lewis Killian. Johnny was a lifelong heavy equipment mechanic owning his own business, Simonds Equipment Repair.

A service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Brandon, 121 North Knights Avenue, Brandon, FL 33510 on June 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service to follow at Bloomindale Cemetery of Valrico.
