Kenneth Newton Wilson

Kenneth Newton Wilson, Sr.(aka "Ken", "Kenny", "Papa Bear,") was born June 7, 1942, to Otis Obediah Wilson (deceased) and Azalee Mitchell Wilson (deceased) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. From a young age, Ken always had a passion to help and serve others. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Obediah Wilson, mother Azalee Mitchell Wilson, brother, Otis Lee Wilson, sisters Michelle Wilson and Geraldine Wolff, and son, Keene M. Wilson.

Kenneth N. Wilson, Sr. graduated from Aggrey Memorial High School of Landis, NC in 1960. He was a United States Army Veteran and was rewarded a purple heart after sustaining injuries in Vietnam. He was employed by the AT& T Corporation in North Carolina for many years and later moved to Florida and worked for the Graybar Electric Corporation until his retirement. Ken was a greeter at Revealing Truth Ministries Church in Tampa, FL where he met AnnMarie.

Ken took his last breath on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at The Boldemero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home. He was battling several illnesses and underlying conditions.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 17 years, Nova AnnMarie Wilson, seven children, Jacqueline D. Wilson of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth N. Wilson Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Angela Lawrence, Rochelle Williams of Tampa, FL, India Nembhard (Oranny) of Brandon, FL, Jena Williams of Tampa, FL, Juan F. Soriano Jr. of Riverview, FL, seven grandchildren, Radarius S. Wilson, Marquise A. McDaniel, Sajacquale' J. Wilson of Charlottle, NC, Jade Williams, Raven Williams of Tampa, FL., Jayden Nembhard, Jamaal Nembhard of Brandon, FL, a great grandaughter Aliciana J. Wilson of Charlotte, NC., two sisters, Cheryl Daniels (John) of Louisville, KY, Naomi Hunt (Alton) of Morganton, NC., three brothers, Milton Wilson (Deborah) of Riverview, FL, Timothy Wilson of Houston, TX, Ronald Wilson (Mavis) of Charlotte, NC, brothers, and sisters in law, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
