COLLINS, Laurence Gerald “Larry” Tsgt USAF Ret, 79, of Brandon passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011. He was born on August 11, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Leo Joseph and Mary Ellen Wallace Collins. Larry faithfully served his country 23 years before working civil service at MacDill AFB from 1976 to 1995. Larry was an avid bowler at Oakfield Lanes and Brandon Crossroads Bowl for many years. Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Ann Anders Collins (2002); daughter, Teresa Marie Collins (1961); son, Billy Collins (1962); 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include devoted son, James A. Collins and his wife, Lisa Elaine; sister, Annemarie Pacheco of Melrose, Mass; 2 grandchildren, William and Raechel Holich. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, from 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 13, at 10 AM both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon.
