He was born on February 11, 1935 in Fort Meyers, Florida to the late Ruby and Joseph Pitts.
Leroy served proudly in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Locally he worked Brandon Chrysler as a Master Mechanic.
Leroy is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Lucy M. Pitts; sons, David (Martha) Pitts, Leroy (Phyllis) Pitts Jr.; grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Rodriguez, Latasha (Raymond) Sheridan, Mark (Nina) Pitts; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; many extended family members and friends.
Mr. Pitts was general Moore of Lee County’s great-great grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Brandon Fellowship Baptist Church 2700 John Moore Road Brandon, Florida 33511.
