Naomi Hibbard Johnson

Naomi Hibbard Johnson, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on 4/6/1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Mae Hibbard & Howard Hibbard.

A woman of immense grace and unwavering faith, Naomi spent her life nurturing those around her. She was known for her deep love of the Lord and her dedicated years teaching Sunday school, where she found great joy in sharing the word of Jesus with everyone she met. While her ministry was her passion, her greatest earthly joy was undoubtedly her family.

As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great, great grandmother, she was the cornerstone of her family, who provided guidance, comfort, and unconditional love. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter and love.

She is survived by her children, Malynda Thompson/Russ Thompson & Howard Michael Johnson/Darlene Johnson; siblings, Howard Hibbard Jr (Kitty Hibbard), Richard Hibbard (Paula Hibbard), her cherished grandchildren, Jeff Ramey, Jessica Mordue & Tiffany Johnson; as well as her great grandchildren, Hunter Harris, Shelbi Getchell, Kaylee Dempsey, Abigail Ramey and Arianna Johnson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Johnson, and her sibling, Randall Hibbard.

Naomi’s legacy of love and resilience will live on in the stories told by those she held dear. While she will be deeply missed; her spirit remains a constant presence in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, on April 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm.  

A Committal Service will take place at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, on April 11, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
