

WILLIAMS, Jr., Nathaniel Taylor, 91, of Brandon, Florida passed away July 31, 2011. He was a dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a Commander in the U.S Navy serving honorably for 28 years in both WWII and Korea; in command positions in Turkey, Guam, Taiwan, and the Pentagon. He was the recipient of numerous medals and honors, including the National Defense Service Medal with the Bronze Star. He was a 40 year member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Daisy Williams; brother, Howard Williams, and sister, Lois Scales. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Purcell Williams; daughters, Jean O’Dell (Allen), and Natalie Seliquini (Joseph); and son, Jeff Williams (Debbie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, David Carpenter (Jamie), Amy Taylor (Chris), Matthew Cherry, Josh Williams, and Jason Williams; and his four great-grandsons, Nathan, Micah, Jake, and Eli. A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm, Thursday, August 4, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church of Brandon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Brandon or to the charity of choice.
