Born in Scranton, PA to the late Remy and Mary (Fricchione) Ferrario, he retired after teaching English for 30 years at Scranton Technical High School where he also coached track, cross country, wrestling, and basketball. An avid golfer, his retirement dream job was locker room manager at Avila Country Club for the last 28 years. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, watching Tampa Bay sports and high school wrestling, especially when his three sons were all coaching together in Hillsborough County.
Pat is survived by his wife of 48 years, the former Maury Boylan, his sons Remy (Laura), Mike (Jamie) and Nick (Clare). He was the best Papa to his grandchildren Lucy, Tea, Vinnie and Cooper, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of another grandson due in January. He is also survived by his brother Remy (Bonnie), sisters-in-law, Ann Ferrario, Kathy Porter (Carl), Rita Houlihan, brother-in-law Sean Pryal, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Marty and brother-in-law Joe Houlihan. Also preceding him in death was Madge Pryal, his wife’s youngest sister, whom he loved like a daughter. Pat unselfishly asked to help raise her after the death of her parents at a young age.
