

Pedro Juan Nunez was born in Managua, La Habana, Cuba on August 13th, 1938 to Juana Maria Tacoronte and Pedro Matilde Nunez both of Managua. He emigrated to Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1968, where he was a member and generous volunteer at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, fostered a heartbreaking love for the Boston Red Sox, volunteered as umpire for the Prospect Hill Little League, worked for Malden Mills and later retired from Du Pont in Wilmingon, Massachusetts after 17 years of service. Relocating to Tampa, Florida in 1990, Pedro Juan Nunez adopted the Tampa Bay Devil Rays as his own, worked for The Hillsborough County Public School District for 15 years and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Deacon at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Clair-Mel and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Seffner, Florida.
Pedro Juan Nunez is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Ysabel Maria; Sisters: Amelia and Gladys of La Habana, Cuba, Daughter: Leonides, Sons: Indalecio Pedro, Eddy Pedro and Carlos Pedro, Son-in-law: John, Daughters-in-law: Isabel and Franchesca, Grandchildren: Maria-Theresa, Eudes Fernando Jose, Claudio Alberto Pedro, Madison Oni, Peter Henry, Solara Rae and Janeliz Lyann, and Great-Grand Children: Lairalee Anne, Caleb Cristian, Calel Juan-Eudes, Eudes Fernando Jose III and Alejandro Jose.
