

Reggie Allan Brown, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024. He was born on December 9, 1944, in Tampa, Florida to Charles and Ruby Brown, all of whom have passed. Reggie was a single child raised in Zephyrhills, Florida where he spent his childhood. He married Marilyn Kayl from Ponca, Nebraska on April 1, 1967, who passed away April 15, 2023. They have three sons: Daniel and his wife Debbie, David and his wife Johnny, and Brian Brown. Reggie was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Ashlynn, DJ (Daniel) Jr., Peyton, Eli, and Jonah Brown. He is survived by his sons, Daniel, Brian and David Brown, sisters-in-law Carolyn Casper, husband Richard, and Kathy Eifert, husband James, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Reggie served four years in the Air Force, including one year of service in Vietnam, where he was a Staff Sgt. He was honorably discharged with military honors in 1969. After his military service, Reggie worked for GTE/Verizon for 41 years, retiring as a power engineer in November 2010. Reggie was a man of many interests, He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, golf, road trips, vacations, volunteering, attending church and spending time with his family and friends. He was also an airplane enthusiast and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR. Reggie was a loving husband, father, and provider for his family. Reggie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon, Florida since 1977. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
