Richard Joseph Silver, 78 of Valrico, Florida passed away at home on March 26, 2025. Richard was born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 6 to Hilda and William Silver. He attended Hope high school and St. Leo college.
Richard married Linda, and together they had two children, Lisa and Vikki. He served his country for 23 years in the Air Force. After retiring from the military, he worked for the state of Florida as a system analyst in their IT department. Richard enjoyed participating in Ham Radio, Coin Collecting, gardening, and flea markets. Richard was also a proud member of The Knights of Columbus.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Lisa Cross and Vikki Lewis.
A funeral mass for Richard will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 East Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 Southwest 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida.
