Hamel, Robert Harold, 79, of Apollo Beach, FL passed away at his home on July 7, 2018. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on April 27, 1939 to Robert Mason Hamel and Helen German Hamel. He grew up in Vergennes, Vermont and graduated from Vergennes High School in 1957. After high school he joined the Air National Guard. He also worked for Xerox for many years before becoming owner of KNE Printing and Custom Card in Springfield, Mass. He lived in South Windsor, CT for 38 years before moving to Florida. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Barbara Nicholas Hamel; daughter, Leah Nicole Hamel of New York, NY; sister, Diane Prendergast Hamel of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law; sister-in-law; several nieces and nephews; as well as his daughters from previous marriage, Terri Doyle & family of Las Vegas, NV, Lori Gustafson & family of Glastonbury, CT and Judi Monterroso & family of Las Vegas, NV. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens of Brandon, Florida.
