

Born to Benjamin and Muriel Sowinski of New Hyde Park, New York, Bob lived a life marked by adventure, dedication, and a passion for the activities he enjoyed most. Bob was a retired IT Vice President of JP Morgan Chase. Bob will be remembered for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
An avid skier, Bob’s favorite destination was Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he spent many memorable days on the slopes. He also enjoyed cycling and tennis and was an accomplished marksman. A proud member of the Roslyn Rifle & Revolver Club for more than 50 years, Bob earned numerous awards and accolades through his exceptional skill and commitment to the competitive sport.
Beyond his athletic pursuits, Bob had a passion for stock trading and enjoyed following the markets with great interest. Whatever the endeavor, he approached it with focus, determination, and enthusiasm.
Bob is survived by his sister, Ann Holthaus (Mike); nieces, Caitlin Mell (Josh) Kristin Jones; cousin, Lauretta Gallinaro (Steve); and their children, Lauren, Michelle, and Andrew Gallinaro.
Bob will be missed by his family and friends and leaves behind enduring memories.
A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held 12 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida. Inurnment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, Brandon, Florida.
