Born on the Sole River in East Germany. She moved to the United States in the 1960’s and married her lifelong partner Bill Fisher on April 7th, 1962. Ruth became a U.S. citizen March 3rd, 1970.
Ruth and her husband lived on Davis Islands Tampa until 1977 and then moved to Riverview where they created, owned and operated an exotic Bird hatchery. For over 40 years she raised exotic birds for people around the World including those for Busch Gardens.
Ruth spent many hours volunteering at the VA as well as being a lifelong member of the VFW, Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her Friends and family in Germany as well as the U.S.
