

Ruth V. Swindle, went to be with her Lord on the morning of February 22nd; she was 87. She was born in Mango, Florida on November 12, 1929, attended and graduated from Brandon High School, Florida College in Temple Terrace, and took numerous classes at the University of South Florida. She taught 5th grade at Florida College Academy for 7 years, and was beloved by her students. She worked for Hillsborough County Schools for 10 years, but especially loved being a permanent sub at her alma mater, Brandon High School.
She attended many different congregations in nearly 60 years of living in Brandon, Florida, with she and her husband being founding members of the Brandon Church of Christ and East Brandon Church of Christ, but most recently was a member of the Seffner Church of Christ.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years, Harold C. Swindle, her son, Richard B. Swindle, her great grandson Steven Fisher, and her sister Esther Ferguson. She is survived by her eldest son David H. Swindle (Kay), her daughter Cheryl L. Swindle, her granddaughter Heather Conyers (Charles), her grandsons Zachery Swindle (Anne), David R. Swindle (Lindsay), and her great granddaughters Ziva Ruthanne & Halla Swindle, and Kaylee Conyers. She is also survived by her sister Miriam Bryan, brother Edward Earl Miller, Jr., and sister-in-law Jenell Miller, along with nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
There will be a visitation at Stowers Funeral Home of Brandon, Friday, March 3rd, from 6 to 8 p.m., and a graveside service at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens, Brandon, Florida, Saturday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m., where she will be laid to rest with her husband and son.
