Vernon was predeceased by his loving wife Betty Jean Sewell (Taylor), his parents Vernon Broadway Sewell Sr. and Sallie Sewell (Green), his daughter Patricia Lynn Sewell, son Richard Vernon Sewell, and his brothers Kenneth D. Sewell and John Sewell. He is survived by his children Cheryl Winters, Jeffrey Sewell; his grandchildren Patti Sutter, Jeffrey Grose(Fellina) Brittany Gutierrez (Jose), Cheyanne Sewell; and his great grandchildren William Grose, Serena Whaley, Destiny Whaley, Elijah Whaley, and Iliana Gutierrez.
Mr. Sewell was born in Valrico, Florida and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Brandon High School. He and his wife were proud owners of Hoof Beat Acres horse farm. Mr. Sewell served in the Marines, and then retired from CSX railroad. He enjoyed being outdoors, his pet cats, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
