Nuccio, Vincent L. “Vince” of Tampa, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 surrounded by all of his children and grandchildren. Vince was born on September 20, 1929 and was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Rosalie Muniz and Marietta Foy. Vince is survived by his loving wife Gloria; brother, Jimmy Knowles(Duane); brother in law, Joe Campoamor, Jr.(Margaret); children, Vincent L. Nuccio, Jr.(Bee), Karen Martino(Tom), Louise Fernandez, Michele Batchelder(Buddy); 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Vince served 2 years in the Army and then spent over 30 years in education as principal of several schools. After retirement, Vince enjoyed many years of travel and spending time with family and friends. Vince was loved by all who knew him for his gentleness and good-natured spirit. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives for 85 years and take comfort in knowing that he is now in the arms of God. A memorial gathering will be held for Vince this evening, Thursday Feb. 19th from 5-6pm with family reflections beginning at 6pm at Hillsboro memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
