Walter Ernest Brown left this world to be with the Lord in his new body, now free of pain and worry, at the age of 89. He was born in Hohenwald, TN on May 10th, 1929. He loved the Lord and his family was his world. He married the wife of his youth and loved her for 68 years. He served in the Army before accepting a job at Ryder Truck Lines where he worked for 33 years. He was blessed to then enjoy retirement for 32 years during which he loved working with his hands, repairing things that were broken, collecting old coins, hunting and fishing. Not wealthy by worldly standards, he provided for his family in abundance, certainly rich in love. He taught his four children about life and God and relied on the Lord until the end. We grieve, yet we strive to make him proud. Secure in the hope that one day we will be reunited with him. He is survived by his Wife, Mary Iva (Henderson) Brown, His four children, Barbara Mayes, Michael Brown (Alvita), Marie Bridge (Dave) and Lola Wilson (Darrin), his 9 grandchildren, his 15 great grandchildren and his 3 great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, March 9th with visitation starting at 10 am and services starting at 11 am. Valrico Church of Christ. 1520 S. Miller Rd. Valrico, FL 33594 .
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to LifePath Hospice as they were a blessing to us during this time.
