Born Nov. 22, 1931, in Marietta, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ora E. Vadakin (William “Bill” Vadakin, step-father) of Marietta, Ohio and Weldon L. Weber, Sr. (Iolyia Weber, step-mother), of California. He was
preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Barbara Jean Weber and his loving wife, Joretta “Jean” Roush Weber, both of Brandon, Florida.
Weldon “Web” is survived by his sister, Betty Sue Vadakin of Marietta, Ohio; his three daughters, Pamela Brocious, Teresa Fillmon, Krista Suarez (husband, Troy); five grandchildren, Christopher Fillmon (wife, Sarah), Tara Martinez (husband, Danny), Jennifer Fillmon, Tyler Thomas (fiancée, Katie) and Nathaniel Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Alexander Fillmon, Hailey Fillmon, Jeremiah Martinez and Zoe Martinez.
Weldon graduated from Marietta High School in 1949; was a proud member of the United States Air Force (1951-1956); worked for Union Carbide (1956-1968); until transitioning into a position as an Air Traffic
Controller at Ohio State University Airport in Columbus, Ohio in 1968, later transferring to Tampa, Florida to work at Tampa International Airport until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #25, was a member of GWRRA FL-B1(Gold Wing Road Riders Association) and a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon in Brandon, Florida.
A visitation for "Web" will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida 33511. A graveside service will occur Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM in All Faiths Memorial Park, 1390 Park Drive, Casselberry, Florida 32707, with Pastor Mark Adrien officiating and Daniel Martinez delivering the final prayer.
